Zelensky discussed operations in Donbas, Kursk region and beyond with Syrsky.


Situation on the front: battles in the Pokrovske direction and the defense of Toretsk
On August 19, 2024, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky reported to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky about the situation on the front. According to the President, heavy battles are ongoing in the Pokrovske direction and the defense of Toretsk.
The President expressed gratitude to the military for every result in destroying the occupiers and reported on the work to provide weapons and necessary decisions of partners regarding actions on the front.
Operation in Kursk region and replenishment of the exchange fund
New details of the operation in the Kursk region were also reviewed. "We are achieving our set goals. By morning, there is another replenishment of the exchange fund for our state," the President noted.
Ukraine's missile program
During the meeting, President Zelensky and Commander-in-Chief Syrsky discussed aspects of Ukraine's missile program. The President expressed gratitude to everyone working on the development and production of missiles.
In his Telegram channel, Commander-in-Chief Syrsky confirmed information about heavy battles in the Pokrovske direction and the defense of Toretsk. He also mentioned new results in the Kursk region and the replenishment of the exchange fund.
