Umerov met with Kellogg — topics of discussion.

Meeting between Kellogg and Umerov on July 14
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine met on July 14 with the Special Representative of the President of the United States
Keith Kellogg, who arrived on a working visit to Kyiv.
The parties discussed, among other things, the strengthening of Ukraine's air defense and sanctions against Russia. This was reported by
Rustem Umerovon Facebook.
Achieving sustainable and just peace
Umerov stated that he had a substantive and candid conversation with Kellogg dedicated to achieving sustainable and just peace.
According to the minister, his first deputy, Serhiy Boyev, emphasized that Ukraine is ready for a long-term ceasefire. Our security and defense are based on a combat-ready army and a strong defense industry, so we are focused on scaling our own capabilities.
'Particular attention was paid to the development of joint projects for localizing weapons production in Ukraine and Europe. In particular, this concerns air defense systems and other critically important areas. Some of them are already being implemented, while others are being prepared for launch. They strengthen not only Ukraine but also our allies,' the Minister of Defense emphasized.
He stressed that Ukraine has unique combat experience, especially in the field of drones, and is ready to share it. Umerov believes that some large-scale joint initiatives can be implemented with the participation of European partners or with frozen Russian assets.
Sanctions issues and restrictions on the Russian energy sector
Moreover, the parties also discussed sanctions against the Russian Federation. According to the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Russian energy sector is a key source of funding for the war, therefore it must be consistently and systematically restricted.
Attending the meeting with Kellogg were also the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Chief of the General Staff Major General Andriy Hnatov, Chief of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, and representatives of the intelligence services. They briefed the American side on the operational situation, assessed the enemy's plans, and prepared for Russia's wider-scale war — not only against Ukraine but also against NATO.
They demonstrated how Ukraine is responding to Russian aggression, and General Syrskyi also outlined the urgent needs of the Ukrainian army for weapons.
