Trump washes his hands: FT reported how Ukraine was left without US support after a call to Putin.

Putin's Support: Trump Ready to Abandon Confrontation with Russia and Ukraine
After a phone conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump appears ready to abandon his promise to end the war between Russia and its neighbor. This information was reported by The Financial Times.
Advisor to the Russian leader on foreign policy Yuri Ushakov noted that the two-hour conversation between Trump and Putin was so friendly that neither president wanted to be the first to end the dialogue.
“Ukrainians and their allies in Europe felt abandoned. ... the US's refusal to act as a mediator in the peace efforts, leaving Moscow and Kyiv to resolve the issues on their own”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky fears the negative consequences of this decision and urged the US not to distance itself from the pursuit of peace, as otherwise only Putin will benefit.
Now the world is discussing the possible fate of Ukraine in the context of changes in US foreign policy and support for Russia. The situation in eastern Ukraine may escalate due to Trump's decision, which, according to some views, indicates his interest in improving relations with Moscow rather than resolving the conflict.
