New Parcel Packaging Rules at Ukrposhta: What Changes from November 1.

Ukrposhta introduces new parcel packaging rules from November 2024. The modernization of the sorting system will help to ensure delivery between Ukrainian cities within one day.
From November 1, two types of sorting will be introduced - manual and automated. Clients will have the opportunity to use the old rules until November 11, 2024.
According to the new requirements, for automated sorting, parcels must be packaged in sturdy boxes or special polyethylene bags. Ukrposhta provides free "Zukhvaly Paket" bags for small shipments.
"Soon, over 95% of parcels delivered by Ukrposhta will be processed on automated sorting lines," said the company's CEO Ihor Smiliansky. He noted that an improperly packed parcel could cause damage and stop the line's operation.
Shipments with non-standard sizes, sharp parts, or without a flat base will be sorted manually at a higher rate. Clients are offered a wide range of packaging materials, from free bags for small shipments to boxes costing from 5 hryvnias.
