Ukrainian Armed Forces warned about the change in Russian tactics during shelling.

Ukraine reported that Russia has changed its tactics for missile strikes. The enemy is now more actively using ballistic missiles and is also improving strike drones. This information was provided by Yuriy Ihnat, the head of the communication department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a national telethon. According to him, Russia continuously modernizes its equipment, including 'Shahed' drones, which have received new functions and changed color to black since the fall of 2022. The Russians are also upgrading ballistic missiles.
Ukraine has already received Patriot air defense systems, which has allowed it to effectively destroy 'Kinzhal' missiles and ballistic 'Iskanders'. However, the improvement of Russian missiles complicates their interception. Ukraine shares information about new modifications with its Western partners to enhance air defense systems.
Ihnat noted that since the beginning of 2024, Russia has increased the use of ballistic missiles, while cruise missiles are used less. He explained that ballistic missiles are more effective against the Patriot air defense system.
Currently, the Ukrainian air defense has confirmed the destruction of 53 aerial targets, including cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and 'Shahed' strike drones.
