UAF in Donetsk Region Rescued Unique Artifact.

The fighters of the 3rd Assault Brigade removed an ancient stone idol weighing 400 kg from Myrolyubivka, a village in the Donetsk region, near the front line. This was reported in a TSN story.
The excavation of the idol took place under artillery fire, which was a great risk for the defenders. Oleksandr Alferov, an officer of the 3rd Assault Brigade and a historian by education, convinced his comrades that they could not leave such a monument to the Russians.
However, after the excavation, another problem arose - how to transport the idol weighing several hundred kilograms to a safe place. Thanks to the endurance of the truck, this was possible.
The Polovtsian idol was handed over to the Dnipropetrovsk Museum named after Yavornytsky, where specialists have already begun studying it.
"We see that the head, chest, necklace on the neck have been preserved. The headdress has also partially survived. By its shape, we can assume that this is a female priestess," noted Oleksandr Starikov, Acting Director of the National Historical Museum.
The historian suggests that the saved stone idol is about 900 years old. In ancient times, such statues were installed on burial mounds and sanctuaries.
The Polovtsian idol is the eleventh monument that has been removed from the Donetsk region. The museum emphasizes that these monuments are temporarily kept and will definitely be returned to their place when the war is over.
Earlier, the UAF rescued an elderly woman in Sudzha, who had been left unattended by her relatives.
