On Saturday, July 12, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov. During the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of drone production.

Decisions made at the meeting

During the meeting, the leader of Ukraine and the head of the Ministry of Defense discussed contracting and drone production. Zelensky instructed to contract all available volumes of priority types of drones and noted that work is ongoing with European partners regarding funding.

'This year we are to achieve significantly higher production and supply rates of drones to the military than planned. We are also preparing non-standard steps to support our defense — expanding the geography of such support,'
- noted Zelensky.

The President also discussed with Umerov changes in state institutions and emphasized the need for positive dynamics in relations with the United States and new steps in the management of the defense sector.

'Relevant decisions will be announced soon,' - the president summarized.

Recall that recently Zelensky summed up the results of the conference on the recovery of Ukraine, which took place in Rome on July 10-11. The head of state also reacted to the massive shelling of Ukraine on July 12.
