The Deputy of Ermak told where military personnel most often leave the military unit voluntarily.

According to Irina Vereshchuk, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, most cases of voluntary leaving a military unit (SVC) by servicemen occur at training centers rather than at the front. She noted that fewer cases of SVC are recorded in combat units.
This information was presented by Vereshchuk at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, where changes to legislation regarding SVC were discussed.
Of course, such changes should reflect fairness and common sense. However, there must be order. Especially when it comes to defense capability. I support the committee's sentiment that the corresponding legislation should be sufficiently strict. So that we do not perceive SVC as some kind of prank or a way to take a vacation, to get treatment, or to transfer to another unit.
According to Vereshchuk, servicemen who have voluntarily left military units have three and a half weeks to return voluntarily.
According to Law No. 12095, which was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, military personnel who commit SVC after November 29, 2024, cannot return to service and avoid criminal liability through a simplified procedure.
It was also established that servicemen who have voluntarily left military units or deserted for the first Time and voluntarily returned to their place of service and expressed readiness to continue military service, their military service and contract are continued during the state of martial law.
The deadline for the voluntary return of servicemen who have left units without permission has been extended until March 1, 2025.
A possibility for submitting a report for returning to service after SVC has appeared through the 'Army+' application. After voluntarily leaving a military unit, a serviceman has 24 hours to report to the Military Law Enforcement Service.
In 2024, the number of cases of voluntary leaving military units increased significantly, but they decreased in September-October.
