The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has updated the losses of Russian occupiers as of the morning of Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
Russia's losses in the war as of October 9, 2024
The Russian Federation has lost the following in the war with Ukraine as of October 9:
- personnel ‒ about 664,120 (+1150) people;
- tanks ‒ 8,944 (+4) units;
- armored combat vehicles ‒ 17,751 (+11) units;
- artillery systems ‒ 19,222 (+19) units;
- MLRS ‒ 1,223 (+0) units;
- air defense systems ‒ 973 (+0) units;
- aircraft ‒ 368 (+0) units;
- helicopters ‒ 328 (+0) units;
- operational-tactical level UAVs ‒ 16,718 (+31);
- cruise missiles ‒ 2,618 (+0);
- ships/boats ‒ 28 (+0) units;
- submarines ‒ 1 (+0) unit;
- automotive equipment and tankers ‒ 26,240 (+55) units;
- special equipment ‒ 3,385 (+12).

Occupant fleet activity as of October 9
- In the Black Sea, two enemy ships, which are carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo of up to eight missiles;
- In the Azov Sea, there are no enemy ships;
- In the Mediterranean Sea, three enemy ships, two of which are carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo of up to 20 missiles.
During the day, in the interests of the Russian Federation, the passage through the Kerch Strait was made by:
- to the Black Sea ‒ seven vessels, one of which continued its movement towards the Bosphorus Strait;
- to the Azov Sea ‒ 11 vessels, four of which were moving from the Bosphorus Strait.
Currently, it is the 959th day of full-scale war in Ukraine.
