Payments, employment, and education: what assistance IDPs can receive in Ukraine.


The Ministry of Social Policy has announced what assistance internally displaced persons (IDPs) can receive.
As a result of Russian aggression, a large number of Ukrainians have left their homes and become internally displaced persons (IDPs). The government has developed various programs to support these citizens, allowing them to receive various types of assistance.
Financial support for living Internally displaced persons are entitled to monthly payments: - 2000 hryvnias for adults - 3000 hryvnias for children and persons with disabilities
Programs for housing issues The state offers several options for resolving housing issues: - 'Host' program - provision of housing - Subsidies for rent - Compensation for destroyed housing - Social support
IDPs have access to: - Psychological support - Free legal consultations - Social assistance - Employment and education
The state also provides assistance in job searching, retraining, and obtaining education. Additionally, it ensures rehabilitation and recreation for IDP children, as well as provides technical rehabilitation means for those in need.
IDPs can apply for a certificate online using the 'Diia' app, at administrative service centers, in social protection bodies, and at rural, village, or city councils. To obtain a certificate, adults need to fill out an application and have a passport of a citizen of Ukraine. Representatives need to provide documents confirming their authority. If the IDP certificate is lost, a duplicate can be obtained.
Ukrainians can also receive international assistance for housing rental.
