In Ukraine, Children's Day has been moved: no longer June 1.

Children's Day is aligned with international standards
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, signed decree No. 355, which moved Children's Day from June 1 to November 20. This means that our national holiday will now correspond to the Universal Children's Day.
The reason for this change is cited as the necessity to prioritize the protection of children's rights for the entire country and to strengthen cooperation with international partners in this area. The document also emphasizes the importance of adhering to the norms of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Significance of the holiday's relocation
This change is crucial for Ukraine in the context of Eurointegration and harmonization of national legislation with international standards.
Until this Time, Ukraine celebrated Children's Day on June 1, following Soviet customs, while the majority of countries worldwide celebrate this holiday on the day designated by the UN.
It is also worth noting that earlier, President Zelensky approved strict personal sanctions from the National Security and Defense Council.
By signing the decree to move Children's Day to November 20, the President of Ukraine noted the importance of protecting children's rights as a national priority and a step towards compliance with international standards. This change reflects the strategic plans of the country regarding Eurointegration and legislative harmonization.
