In occupied Crimea, schools are being renamed after Russian soldiers en masse.

Mass renaming of schools in occupied Crimea
Due to the occupation of the temporarily occupied Crimea by the Russian administration, mass renaming of schools has begun on the peninsula. According to information, as part of the project 'Hero's name - to the school', educational institutions are given names of Russian military personnel and soldiers of the Soviet army.
According to an unknown human rights activist from Crimea, over two hundred schools on the peninsula have already changed their names. Some districts, including Simferopol, Sudak, Dzhankoy, Kirovsky, Rozdolne, and Chernomorsk, are actively participating in the renaming process. For example, in Simferopol alone, 27 schools have been renamed, including school No. 38, which now bears the name of Vladislav Dorokhin, a participant in the war against Ukraine.
The project 'Hero's name - to the school' is supported by the Kremlin, which is trying to place as many schools in Crimea as possible in this project. This attempt to influence the worldview of the younger generation and impose militaristic ideology through educational institutions is quite alarming for the future of the region.
