In November, contractors were selected to build a water intake from the Southern Bug River and a main water pipeline for Mykolaiv. In Mykolaiv region, the Recovery and Infrastructure Development Service chose the companies 'Avtostrada Group', LLC 'Ukrtransmist', and LLC 'Rostdorstroy' for the construction of various sections of the pipeline. The project is expected to be implemented by August 2025.

The head of the State Recovery Service, Serhiy Sukhomlyn, emphasized that these companies would be able to handle the project even if the state does not always pay contractors on Time.

If everything goes according to plan, the sewage treatment facilities will be updated and a new water pipeline will be built in Mykolaiv within a year, Sukhomlyn stated.

It is worth noting that the authorities addressed the issue of water supply in Mykolaiv for 2024. In April, the Cabinet of Ministers amended the resolution to account for the construction of a water intake from the Southern Bug River and the main water pipeline for Mykolaiv residents.

By mid-May 2022, residents of Mykolaiv had problems with water supply and received water from other areas. Temporarily, a pipeline to the Southern Bug River was launched by local communal services.
