Insurance in case of burnout and death from overtime work
The Chinese company Pingan Insurance offers new insurance for residents of the country. This policy covers death or burnout due to overtime work. However, the advertisement for this insurance has sparked a negative reaction.
According to information in the South China Morning Post, insurers were offered to pay an annual premium starting from 18 yuan (54 UAH). In case of an event, they can receive compensation of up to 600,000 yuan (1.8 million).
The company was accused of promoting 'controversial values'. The insurance advertisement contains controversial images where an employee works at a computer, and outside the window is a dark night sky.
It has been expressed that such insurance and overtime work may be illegal.
'Various policies for accidental death and injury are a normal situation,' said an expert in the field.
The management of the Pang Dong Lai network decided to prevent stress among employees and provide them with an additional 10-day vacation.
It is worth noting that the former head of the Bank of China was sentenced to death for bribery and illegal lending.
