U.S. State Department names successor to U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine's Recovery Pritzker.


The U.S. has officially announced that Penny Pritzker is concluding her term as Special Representative for Economic Recovery. Her successor has become an official of the American State Department. This was reported by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Blinken emphasized that Pritzker was an indefatigable advocate for Ukraine's economic recovery. She visited Ukraine many times and helped lay the foundation for full-scale economic recovery and EU accession.
Pritzker's achievements include providing Ukraine with economic aid amounting to approximately $9 billion, launching a business advisory council for the G7+ interagency donor coordination platform, supporting key economic reforms in Ukraine, creating the Deal Team defense-industrial base, and collaborating with private sector companies.
Deputy Secretary of State Richard Verma will continue Pritzker's work. The Biden administration aims to assist Ukraine in military, economic, and democratic plans.
Verma previously served as Assistant Secretary of State and U.S. Ambassador to India. He was also recognized as one of the most influential Indian-American figures in the country.
