Turkey Outlined Its Vision for Peace Talks on Ukraine.

Turkey supports Ukraine and strives to end the war considering the interests of the Ukrainian people. This was stated by the Director General for International Security Issues at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Basat Ozturk. He also noted that the support concerns the entire Ukrainian people and is not limited to the issues of Crimean Tatars.
"We also support Ukraine without hesitation because Ukraine is our neighbor, historically brotherly, sisterly country. The conflict resolution should happen through peaceful negotiations considering the interests of the Ukrainian people," Ozturk stated.
The Turkish diplomat emphasized the wish for the conflict to be resolved as soon as possible through peaceful negotiations. He also mentioned Turkey's role in the release of Ukrainian prisoners, the grain supply agreement, and ensuring security in the Black Sea.
Moreover, Ozturk noted that Turkey is a significant ally of Ukraine and desires to gain more recognition and respect within the collective West. He noted that Turkey maintains economic relations with Russia but balances them with strategic relations with Ukraine.
Forum participants noted that Russia's war against Ukraine has changed the security context in the Black Sea and the region as a whole, leading to a reassessment of the security perceptions of Europe and NATO.
