Enemy attacked Sumy with drones
In the night of September 17, the enemy massively attacked Sumy with drones. More than ten explosions were heard. Substations in the city caught fire, causing problems with electricity and water supply. This was reported by "Radio Liberty".
Currently, only a few traffic lights are working in Sumy. There is no electricity and communication. As a result of the strikes, water is supplied with reduced pressure. Due to the lack of electricity, trolleys will not run on routes today. Critical infrastructure facilities - water utilities, hospitals, and others - are connected to backup power systems.
According to local authorities, there were no casualties. Besides critical infrastructure facilities, several summer houses were damaged.
Attack on Konotop
Also, at night, the Russian army attacked Konotop. There was a hit on one of the enterprises. The city is also currently without light and communication.
New rocket attacks on Sumy region
And today, on September 17, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Artiukh, reported another massive missile attack by the Russians on the Sumy region. Four explosions were recorded. The consequences are being clarified.
Recall that after midnight, the city of Sumy became the target of a massive air strike using enemy drones. Later, it became known that an enemy drone attacked energy system facilities.
It was also reported that late in the evening of September 16, Russian troops carried out an air strike on the city of Konotop in the Sumy region, using "Shahed" type drones.
