Syrsky stated the necessity of military censorship in Ukraine.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky stated that during the war, censorship is necessary, but it should not turn into a dictatorship like that of North Korea. He noted this in an interview with 'Radio Bayraktar'.
“I do not want to introduce such a dictatorship as in North Korea… We are not the first to fight in the world — wars happen, and there are certain actions that must be necessarily carried out,” – said Syrsky.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that censorship during wartime is regulated by Ukrainian law and is a necessary measure that is not aimed at limiting the rights of citizens, but ensures security.
As an example, Syrsky mentioned military operations in the Kharkiv and Kursk regions, where it was important to keep the details of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's actions secret. He emphasized that although sensitive information should not be disclosed, citizens should receive current information about the course of the war:
“It is necessary to talk about the real state of affairs so that people understand that the war is right here, next to us. That people here get injured and, unfortunately, there are casualties. So that there is not such a sharp contrast between the front and the rear.”
Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky reported that the 155th separate mechanized brigade named after Anna Kyivska is gradually acquiring certain combat capabilities. Earlier, its servicemen were leaving service without permission and deserting.
