Sibiga: Russia prepares strikes on nuclear energy facilities in Ukraine.

Russian troops are preparing to strike nuclear energy facilities in Ukraine
Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga stated that the Russian Federation is preparing to strike nuclear energy facilities in Ukraine. He expressed his position during a joint briefing with foreign ministers of the Nordic-Baltic Eight countries, which took place in Odesa. According to Sibiga, Russia has air dominance and plans to strike nuclear energy facilities in Ukraine.
In this regard, Ukraine insists on removing any restrictions on the use of long-range missiles against military targets in the Russian Federation. According to the head of the Foreign Ministry, this right is justified and necessary for the self-defense of the Ukrainian people.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) adopted a resolution demanding that Russia immediately leave the territory of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant and cease its occupation. A resolution on nuclear safety and safeguards in Ukraine was also adopted, supported by 65 IAEA member countries.
Due to the station's shelling, one of the power supply lines was damaged, creating a risk of losing external power for reactor cooling. The situation at the nuclear power plant remains unstable. The IAEA is also discussing a new emergency plan with the occupiers, which will be implemented by the end of September.
The IAEA recommends not restarting the plant's reactors while the war continues.
