US Senators Develop Devastating Sanctions for Putin's Aides: Tariffs Up to 500%.

US Senators Prepare Bill for 500% Tariff on Countries Trading with Russia
A group of United States senators has announced the preparation of a bill that stipulates the establishment of a 500% tariff on goods from countries that trade with Russia. This was stated by Democrat Blumenthal on his website.
According to Senators Blumenthal and Republican Graham, the bill has the support of 81 Senate members. They noted that the document provides for the introduction of a 500% tariff on the import of Russian energy, uranium, and other goods.
'While we seek peace, it is becoming increasingly clear to us – and the overwhelming majority of the Senate – that Putin is playing games. The United States Senate is prepared to act if these games continue,' the senators stated.
Representatives are also demanding conditions from Russia for a ceasefire in the coming days.
'We are very pleased that we now have 81 co-sponsors for the sanctions bill against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. Our legislation isolates Russia and imposes tough tariffs against other countries that support these crimes,' the statement read.
Previously, the Senate had announced plans to impose stringent sanctions against Russia. The new bill, which is expected to be passed in the US Senate, indicates a further stage in the reaction to Russia's actions and could have serious economic consequences.
The ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia has now lasted several years, and the international community continues to seek ways to pressure Moscow to ensure peace in the region.
