Ro, Lilith, Elai: rare names given to children in 2024 in Vinnytsia region.


The most popular and rare names for newborns in the Vinnytsia region have been announced
According to the Department of Civil Registry in the Vinnytsia region, 8228 children were registered as born in 2024. Among the most popular names for girls were Anna, Sofia, Milana, Solomiya, and Eva, while for boys – Artem, Bohdan, Maksym, Matviy, and Oleksandr.
Some rare names for newborns were also provided. Among the names for girls were:
Avelia, Aylin, Aysel, Ariel, Viveya, Daniella, Daryana, Dzhyana, Dzvenyslava, Doyana, Evalina, Solomiya, Esma, Ladomira, Liel, Lilith, Malva, Nura, Ro, Ronelia, Rosina, Ruth, Ruthenia, Salhye, Sulamita, Justina.
And among boys – Avenir, Dan, Damian, Ddaryon, Dobrynya, Elai, Emmunuail, Enoch, Ilai, Itan, Kamel, Liam, Lior, Marik, Mateo-Theodor, Matfiy, Panteliemon, Ruvim, Umar, and Yarem.
In previous years, popular and rare names for newborns were also noted. In 2023, popular names included Anastasia, Viktorіya, Daryna, Eva, Zlata, Andriy, Bohdan, Volodymyr, Vasyl, Danilo, and others. In 2022, Sofia, Maria, Mark, and Artem were among the top names. In addition, Ukrainian parents gave their children rare and symbolic names such as Kiy, Stefania, Dzhavelina, and Mriya.
