Asked to become a sniper to defend Ukraine. The 101-year-old scout has died in Vinnytsia.


On Monday, March 24, at the age of 101, the honorary veteran of World War II, retired colonel and scout Olga Tverdokhlebova passed away. This was reported by 'Glavkom' to the police of the Vinnytsia region.
Olga Tverdokhlebova went through the entire Second World War, during which she was a scout in the radio reconnaissance division. To get to the front, she forged her documents, making herself two years older. She met the victory in Berlin and signed at the Brandenburg Gate.
In the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion, the woman turned to the military enlistment office and asked to become a sniper again, with a weapon in hand to defend her homeland from invaders.
On December 10, 2024, the veteran celebrated her 101st birthday. On her last birthday, she visited wounded fighters in a Vinnytsia hospital.

It was reported that the UPA courier from Ivano-Frankivsk, the legendary rebel scout Angelina Palamar, known by the nickname Orisya, died at the age of 101.
Also, on June 7, 2024, Vasyl Khomin died at the age of 90. He was a former UPA courier, a member of the Boryslav division of the OUN-UPA named after Nechai and the All-Ukrainian Brotherhood of the OUN-UPA named after General Roman Shukhevych.
Moreover, in Lviv, on May 10, 2023, Kateryna Shcherba, known by the nickname Olesya, passed away at the age of 95.
