Profit fell several times: what is happening to the revenues of Ukrposhta, Nova Poshta, ATB and other leaders.

According to the OpenDataBot Index, the leading companies in the field of transportation and postal services earned 243.67 billion UAH, which is 12% more than last year. However, only five out of the top ten companies were able to achieve a net profit of 8.16 billion UAH, while four companies suffered losses of 12.1 billion UAH. One more company finished the year with a zero result.
The majority of companies with state influence bring in over 70% of total revenue. For example, Ukrzaliznytsia, which ranks first in the rating, received 102.87 billion UAH in revenue, but suffered losses of 4.19 billion UAH. Ukrtransgaz also suffered losses - 7.44 billion UAH with a revenue reduced by one third. Ukrposhta showed better results, although it finished the year with losses that halved. The total revenue of the company increased by 12% to 12.98 billion UAH.
'For us, this rating and its results are not just numbers on a screen. They are years of painstaking work by tens of thousands of people who are implementing reforms step by step and transforming Ukrposhta into a modern and successful business. Despite the challenges of war and the fact that we are a business with a human face, driven not only by short-term financial benefits but by the well-being of Ukrainians, we are succeeding,' comments Igor Smilyansky, CEO of Ukrposhta.
Another state-owned company - the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine - increased its revenues by 7% to 38.53 billion UAH, while its net profit fell by 8.7 times to 1.27 billion UAH. Ukrtransnafta also saw a decrease in revenue, which fell 16 times to 1.22 billion UAH. Nova Poshta ranks second in the rating and earned 44.78 billion UAH in revenue, but its profit decreased by 1.6 times to 2.5 billion UAH.
'In 2024, Nova Poshta became the best postal operator in the world according to the World Post & Parcel Award, expanded its network to over 37,000 service points in Ukraine and over 87,000 in 16 countries in Europe by the end of the year. Last year, we opened the first barrier-free postal branch in Ukraine and allocated more than 4.8 billion UAH for humanitarian needs and military support. 2024 was about movement and challenges that we managed to overcome,' the company commented.
The company Neo-Trans, which made it to the ranking for the first Time, earned 6.5 billion UAH in revenue, which is twice as much as last year. Its profit also increased twofold to 116.55 million UAH. Logistic Union from the ATB group increased its revenue by 29% to 3.06 billion UAH, the largest among all companies. Ukrainian helicopters increased their revenue by 17% to 872 million UAH, but suffered losses of 52.5 million UAH.
