The President of the Czech Republic warned of possible concessions from Ukraine in the war with Russia.

Czech Republic: Ukraine will not be able to liberate occupied territories through military means
The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, expressed his opinion on the situation in Ukraine, stating that the country will not be able to fully liberate the territories occupied by Russia through military means. He believes that significant support from the West is necessary for Ukraine's successful liberation. He stated this in an interview with the publication 'European Truth'.
'Without the real will of the West to provide you with much greater support and with limited human resources, Ukraine will not be able to liberate the territories occupied by Russia without enormous losses,' said the Czech president.
According to Petr Pavel, if there are no changes in the approach to the conflict, a civil war with Russia is likely, and the conflict will be resolved through compromise, which will involve certain territorial concessions. At the same Time, he emphasized that such a compromise should not include recognizing the occupied territories as legally belonging to Russia.
'Right now, we are heading towards such a compromise, but I believe that within this compromise solution, the occupied territories cannot be recognized as legitimately belonging to Russia. At the same time, this implies acknowledging the reality: some territories of Ukraine will remain temporarily occupied by Russia for some time to come,' explained the President of the Czech Republic.
The president also mentioned examples where occupied territories did not receive legal recognition. He stressed that to maintain the international order based on rules and territorial integrity, civilized Western countries must recognize the occupation and declare these lands as 'temporarily occupied.'
Regarding the possible position of the United States on recognizing the occupied territories as Russian, Pavel said that it is quite difficult to predict, but he hopes that the US does not seek to violate the international order.
