Return from captivity: a love story and the exchange of prisoners

Anton from Pavlohrad, who returned from captivity, called his beloved who had been waiting for him for 37 months. He shared his impressions and joy about the upcoming meeting, which was captured by the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak.

The return of 390 Ukrainians from Russian captivity today is part of the '1000 for 1000' exchange, which has already become the sixth this year and the 65th since the beginning of the invasion. Among those released were civilians and military personnel from various units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the State Border Guard Service.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that the return of Ukrainians from captivity is a key task for the country, and the agreement to release 1000 individuals is the result of negotiations in Turkey.

The current return of prisoners and the exchange is an important moment in Ukraine's work on liberating all its citizens who are in captivity. This is an additional step towards resolving the situation in the east of the country and maintaining peace in the territory of Ukraine.
