Pension reform postponed: The Pension Fund will pay social assistance in a new way starting July 1.

News from the world of pension reform! Plans to introduce a points system for pension payments are delayed, but new important changes are emerging. The Pension Fund is gaining expanded powers and will now be responsible for social assistance for various categories of citizens. What exactly is happening? Read on!
There is not a single draft law or concept in the Verkhovna Rada. In my opinion, the prospect of this points system is still far away
Starting July 1, the Pension Fund will provide assistance for those without pension insurance, people with disabilities, and those in need of caregiving support. An experiment with basic social assistance will also be launched, which, unfortunately, is causing misunderstandings among citizens. Furthermore, pensioners and social assistance recipients will continue to receive payments from the UN until July.
The new 'My Identification' system on the PFU portal makes it easier to access services. However, courts, despite general issues, continue to grant privileged pensions to former prosecutors and judges. This creates social inequality among citizens.
Thus, although the pension reform with the points system is delayed, important changes in the pension system are taking place that directly affect the social protection of citizens.
