Pensions and Assistance Reformed: What Changes for Military Personnel.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the rules for the calculation, appointment, and payment of pensions and monetary assistance to military personnel. This was reported by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
The mentioned changes apply to individuals entitled to a pension under the law on pension provision for military personnel and other categories (excluding conscripts and their families).
According to the new rules, the period of service in countries that were part of the USSR will be considered in the length of service.
At the same Time, for individuals who participated in activities to protect Ukraine during the war with Russia, one month of service in the combat zone will be counted as three months. This will affect the size of the pension if the service was carried out in areas where martial law was in effect.
Resolution No. 393 also applies to employees of the State Bureau of Investigations.
Regarding individuals who have already been granted a pension, the length of service remains unchanged, even if changes are made to the legislation. The calculated and approved service record is not recalculated.
Earlier, information was reported about the salaries of military personnel in Ukraine and around the world.
