The Harshest Package of Restrictions: The European Union will deliver four sanctions strikes against Russia.

The European Union is preparing to introduce four modes of sanctions against Russia
On Thursday, a senior official of the European Union announced that the EU will approve the 17th package of sanctions against Russia on May 20, as well as three more packages of sanctions. These restrictive measures will fall under four regimes: for interference in Ukraine’s affairs, human rights violations, hybrid warfare, and the use of chemical weapons.
In total, it is planned to approve more than 130 individual sanctions, including measures against the Russian military-industrial complex and suppliers of banned goods. Special attention will also be paid to disinformation and the spread of propaganda.
According to sources, within the framework of the 17th package of sanctions, 75 new individuals involved in aggression against Ukraine will be added to the lists, and 200 ships of the 'shadow fleet' will be listed.
The number of individuals on the EU sanctions lists will exceed 2500, while the number of ships will reach 300. In addition, sanctions will be imposed against 27 individuals from Russia for hybrid warfare and against 28 individuals for human rights violations. Sanctions are also planned regarding the use of chemical weapons.
Recent news indicates increasing pressure on Russia due to its actions on the international stage, signaling the escalation of the situation in EU's political relations with Moscow.
