A Month in the Cold for the Soldiers: How the Pregnant Wife of a Fighter Raised Money for the 95th Brigade.

A Ukrainian Soldier's Wife Raised Money for a Vehicle for Her Husband's Unit
28-year-old Victoria Rozhko, wife of Oleksandr Rozhok, a soldier from the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, raised money for a vehicle for the warriors fighting in Kursk over the course of a month. This news is reported by 'Suspilne Zhytomyr.'
Victoria and her husband had previously purchased a Hyundai vehicle for his unit at the end of 2024, as the soldiers had no means of transport for their assignments. At that Time, the family had some savings since they lived in the private sector and had a household.
However, on December 17, the vehicle burned during a combat mission. Despite her pregnancy, Victoria regularly went out starting December 18, 2024, to raise money for the soldiers.
'We no longer have such savings, so we decided to reach out to people and ask for help. We opened a bank account for 120,000 UAH and raised 160,000 UAH on the street to gather at least 5,000 dollars or 5,500 dollars. We want to buy a pickup or crossover like the previous vehicle,' Victoria explains.
The initiative was also joined by the soldier's mother, Lidia Rozhko, who helped collect donations after work. The most contributions came from children, retirees, and soldiers undergoing rehabilitation.
On January 29, it became known that the collection was successfully completed, and they managed to raise even more funds than planned.
'The collection was closed yesterday. We raised even more. Part of the money will be given to another collection for the 95th brigade, and they will also buy medicine,' wrote Yulia Demusʹ.
Earlier, a company that manufactures drones fulfilled the dream of an eight-year-old boy from Kyiv and gifted him a modern gaming console. However, the boy refused the gift to buy a drone for the soldiers.
