Today, the enemy carried out one missile and 69 air strikes, using three missiles and 98 guided aerial bombs. The Russians also used 733 kamikaze drones and conducted 3800 shellings of our troops' positions and settlements.

According to the data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 22:00 on April 8, 135 combat clashes were registered. Ukrainian defenders continue to hinder the enemy's advance deep into our territory, delivering effective strikes and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
The most tense situation is in the Pokrovsk, Lyman, Toretsk, and Kursk directions. The enemy suffered significant losses: in the Pokrovsk direction, our troops neutralized 236 invaders, of which 122 were killed. One APC, four vehicles, two motorcycles, three satellite communication terminals, an anti-tank missile system, four drone antennas, three drone control points were also destroyed, one artillery system and two enemy vehicles were damaged.
Military operations continue in all areas of contact. Throughout the day, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks in the Kharkiv direction and five assaults in the Kupiansk direction. In the Lyman direction, 17 enemy attacks were recorded. The enemy's double assault actions were stopped in the Siversk direction. In the Kramatorsk direction, five combat clashes are ongoing, in the Toretsk direction - 17, in the Pokrovsk direction - seven, in the Novopavlivsk direction - nine, and in the Kursk direction - five.
In total, the enemy approached to attack 51 times and tried to break through our defense near various settlements. The enemy carried out air strikes on Romanivka, Pokrovsk, Udachny, Zelenyi Kut, and Bahatyr. In the Novopavlivsk direction, air strikes were also carried out on Zirka and Tolstyi. In the Kursk direction, the enemy carried out 27 air strikes, including 37 guided bombs, as well as 214 artillery shellings.
Combat actions have been ongoing for 1140 days since the start of the war in Ukraine.
