The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has expanded the opportunity for citizens of Ukraine aged up to 25 years to conclude short-term contracts with the Armed Forces for the National Guard of Ukraine and the State Border Service of Ukraine. This was reported by the government representative in parliament, Taras Melnychuk. Amendments were made to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 11.02.2025 No. 153 'On the implementation of an experimental project to increase motivation for certain categories of citizens of Ukraine to serve in the Armed Forces during martial law'. Now the experiment is extended to the National Guard of Ukraine and the State Border Service of Ukraine. According to Melnychuk, a one-Time monetary reward will be received by those who serve in combat conditions, participated in hostilities in temporarily occupied territories by Russia, and in areas between the positions of defense forces and the armed forces of the aggressor state, as well as on the territory of the aggressor state. The list of positions on which military service can be performed is approved by the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the National Guard, and the State Border Service. The procedure for the medical examination of citizens, including a psychiatrist, has also been simplified.
