Over the past day, there have been 216 combat clashes. Ukrainian defenders are successfully repelling the occupiers' attacks and inflicting significant losses on them. They are denying the enemy advancement deep into our territory and delivering effective fire strikes.

News from the front line

On May 2, the enemy conducted a missile strike and 101 airstrikes, including firing 183 guided missiles. There were also nearly 6700 shellings, of which 131 were carried out with multiple launch rocket systems, and 2694 kamikaze drones were used.

The enemy attacked areas in Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Latest news from the front line

Aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck 11 areas of enemy concentration, two command points, two artillery systems, two air defense systems, and one enemy electronic warfare station.

Kharkiv direction

Six combat clashes took place, with the enemy attacking in the areas of Vovchansk and Kamianka.

Kupiansk direction

In a day, six attacks by the occupiers were recorded. The Defense Forces repelled them near the settlements of Kolysnykivka, Nova Kruhlyakivka, and Zahryzove.

Lyman direction

The enemy attacked 27 times, attempting to advance near the settlements of Nove, Zeleny Dolyna, Kolodiazi, Myrne, Serhiivka, Hrekivka, and Kopanky.

Severodonetsk direction

The Defense Forces repelled one attack of enemy troops in the area of Bilohorivka.

Kramatorsk direction

The enemy carried out eight attacks in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Novomarkove, and Bilyi Gory.

Toretsk direction

The enemy carried out eight attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Krymske, Druzhba, and Sukha Balka.

Pokrovsk direction

Our defenders repelled 83 attacks by the aggressor near the settlements of Vodyane Druhe, Novotoretske, Yelizavetivka, Lysyivka, Dachenske, Shevchenko, Kotlyne, Udachne, Nadiivka, Kotliarivka, Preobrazhenka, and Andriivka.

Novopavlivsk direction

The Defense Forces repelled 23 enemy assaults in the areas of Rivnopil, Pryvilne, Rozlyv, Kostiantynivka, and Burlatske, as well as in the direction of Odradne and Bahatyr.

Orikhiv direction

The invaders carried out five assaults on the positions of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Shcherbaki, Mala Tokmachka, and Stepove. Near Vysoke, there were also six enemy attacks.

Dnipro direction

The aggressor did not conduct offensive actions.

Kursk direction

Yesterday our troops repelled 20 enemy attacks. The enemy carried out 235 artillery shellings, of which 15 were from multiple launch rocket systems. There were also 14 airstrikes, dropping 23 guided missiles.

In total, the losses of Russian invaders over the past day amount to 1170 persons. Our warriors also destroyed four tanks, 48 artillery systems, one air defense system, 126 operational-tactical level UAVs, one cruise missile, 121 vehicles, and one unit of the enemy's special equipment.

We remind you that this is the 1165th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine.

Analysis: The increase in the number of combat clashes and attacks by the enemy indicates an escalation of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian defenders have demonstrated high mobility and determination in repelling the aggressor. However, the duration of the conflict and the presence of Russian combat equipment continue to pose a significant threat to the security of our country. A diplomatic settlement and international support for Ukraine are necessary to achieve peace.
