Kaladze commented on Shevchenko's harsh statement.

Shevchenko and Kaladze exchanged words
Kakha Kaladze, former defender of Kyiv's 'Dynamo' and the Mayor of Tbilisi, responded to Andriy Shevchenko's statement that Kaladze no longer exists for him.
'Ukraine is currently in a difficult situation, undergoing trials. Shevchenko is sad today. For me, as a Georgian, it is unacceptable to engage in polemics with a person who is mourning. I sincerely hope that this horror in Ukraine will end soon, and the Ukrainian people will be able to properly analyze what has happened to them,' said Kaladze.
Zubar Chitaya, a sports journalist from Georgia, shared his thoughts on Kaladze in an interview, noting that he has become a traitor.
'Kaladze is absolutely in adequate. He is just a scoundrel. And just a person who chose his path, his side, and this side is called: 'I will be with those who guarantee my well-being, the preservation of power, the preservation of my warm place, profit, and so on - instead of having a conscience, instead of taking responsibility for my country, instead of the future of this country and Ukraine in particular, as it is envisioned by the majority of these countries. My own backside being warm is more important to me. And for that to be warm, and to serve the masters who provide that warmth, I will go to any lengths.' And so he went, went, went, gradually drifting, drifting, drifting - and crossed all buoys, all red lines. Together with his masters, he burned all the bridges behind him. Now he has nowhere to return, it is impossible to roll back,' said Chitaya.
