From prison to war? The Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated the world kickboxing champion.


The Russian kickboxer was eliminated in the Luhansk region
The defense forces destroyed the Russian occupier - well-known kickboxer Vitaliy Cherney. This was reported by 'Glavkom'.
According to Russian propaganda resources, the elimination of the occupier took place on May 9.
It was noted that Russian police were investigating other episodes of illegal drug trafficking, in which the athlete was involved, and were also identifying the names of all participants in the criminal scheme.
In January of this year, Russian media reported the detention of Cherney by law enforcement.
In February 2025, a photo of Cherney in military uniform appeared on social media, which may indicate his participation in the war shortly after prison.
The successes of the athlete and his family
Vitaliy Cherney is a graduate of the Olympic reserve sports school 'Labor Reserves'. He holds the title of 'Master of Sports of Russia' and 'Master of Sports of Russia of international class' in kickboxing.
In his sports career, Cherney has won the World Cup in kickboxing, participated in various tournaments and shows in Russia, as well as in a match between the French national team and the boxing club 'Torpedo'.
The athlete's sister, Natalia Cherney, is also an outstanding athlete and joined the Russian national boxing team at the age of 17.
On Instagram, the 'neutral' Russian tennis player Polina Kudermetova posted a symbol of aggression against Ukraine - the St. George ribbon.
On May 9, the athlete spread an image of Russian military symbolism, which is one of the symbols of Russian aggression against our country.
