The General Staff explained why the Armed Forces of Ukraine are creating new brigades, not replenishing the old ones.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are creating new brigades because the enemy has increased the size of its troops and the length of the front line. According to the explanations of the spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Captain Dmytro Lykhovyi, this is the only effective way to counteract enemy attacks. We currently have 1300 km of front with active combat operations, so new brigades will help ensure defense.
According to Lykhovyi, the enemy has a significant advantage on the frontline, so in the event of a threat of losing positions, the brigades are ready for redeployment and reinforcement. This is standard tactics for strengthening defense and preventing enemy breakthrough.
The officer also noted that at present, there is no possibility to quickly replenish brigades with personnel, so the creation of new brigades is crucial. Moreover, existing brigades need rotation and replacement, which also requires new units.
In conclusion, Lykhovyi emphasized the need to allow Time for adaptation and coordination of the new personnel of the units. Constantly replenishing brigades is not an effective option because new recruits need to undergo training. To ensure security at the front and replace worn-out brigades, the creation of new military units is necessary.
Creation of Cyber Forces
A working meeting also took place during which the possibility of creating Cyber Forces as a separate branch of the armed forces within the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was discussed.
