Duda voiced Poland's position on the future of Ukraine.

Polish President Andrzej Duda emphasized the necessity of Ukraine's presence in all negotiation formats regarding its future. He noted that Poland actively supports Ukraine's participation in such negotiations. He stated this in an interview with Trwam TV channel.
"It is impossible for any agreements about the future of Ukraine to be made without Ukraine," Duda emphasized.
Duda compared the situation to Poland's historical experience, when its interests were not directly represented in negotiations after World War II.
"If we don't fight for Ukraine to be at the negotiation table today, then such actions might occur in the future. We must fight to ensure that such a practice will never be repeated," said Andrzej Duda.
The president emphasized that the absence of Ukraine in negotiations creates the possibility for doubts about the intentions of the organizers of these meetings.
Duda also recalled Poland's assistance to Ukraine during the first phase of Russian aggression. He noted that when Poland decided to send a hundred tanks to help Ukraine, no one else was helping the Ukrainian army. Poland was the first to break this barrier and sent tanks that were ready for use almost immediately.
According to Duda, the absence of such help could have had dangerous consequences.
"If Ukrainians were unable to resist the Russians and unable to repel an attack on Kyiv, if the Russians established their government in Ukraine or occupied the entire country, what would be with us? And Russian armed forces would be at the border with Ukraine," Duda posed the question.
The president called for not repeating the mistakes of the past and ensuring Ukraine's participation in negotiations about its future.
Recall, Andrzej Duda showed interest in Volodymyr Zelensky's Victory Plan.
