On the night of January 16, drones once again attacked the Tambov powder factory in Russia. This factory is one of the key facilities of the country's military-industrial complex. This was reported by the head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council Andriy Kovalenko.
«This is not the first Time the Tambov powder factory has been attacked. It is one of the key facilities of the Russian military-industrial complex involved in the war against Ukraine,» the report stated.
The head of the CCD noted that the Tambov powder factory produces powders used in various types of firearms, artillery, and rocket systems. The factory also manufactures collodion, which is used to create explosives and other special products.
«This company is one of the main suppliers of explosive materials for the Russian army. Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, production at the factory has significantly increased,» emphasized Andriy Kovalenko.
Moreover, on the night of January 16, a series of explosions occurred in the city of Kotovsk, Tambov region. Local residents reported the operation of air defense systems.
In addition, on the evening of January 15, a fuel depot caught fire in the Voronezh region due to a drone attack. Governor Alexander Gusev reported that the drones were shot down, and the fire broke out due to their fall.
