The US embassy in Kyiv plans to return to normal operations on November 21 after a temporary closure caused by a potential threat of shelling from Russia.

This was stated by a spokesperson for the US State Department, Matthew Miller, during a briefing, as reported by 'European Truth'. Miller refrained from providing details about the nature of the threat, noting only that the situation is being monitored and the State Department is paying maximum attention to the safety of its personnel.

The representative of the US foreign policy department emphasized that no embassy staff have left the territory of Ukraine. Commenting on the implementation of a potential threat, he simply mentioned the large-scale airstrikes that have occurred in Ukraine in recent days. Following the US embassy, on November 20, Spain, Greece, and Italy also temporarily closed their diplomatic missions in Kyiv.

In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated about the 'information escalation', reminding that the threat of shelling from Russia has been a daily reality for Ukrainians for over a thousand days.
