Ukrainian Championship in Freestyle Wrestling: Young Athlete from Lviv Region Won First Place.


Participant Ivan Zalisko, a young athlete from Lviv Region, received support from the charity fund 'Ukrainian Strength' to participate in the Ukrainian championship among boys and girls U-16 in freestyle wrestling. As a result of the competition, he won first place in his weight category.
A total of 354 boys and 113 girls participated in the championship, representing 24 teams from Ukraine. The Ukrainian team from Lviv Region ranked fourth among boys and first among girls, winning 12 medals.
Ivan Zalisko trains under the guidance of Vitaliy Borysenko, a заслужений тренер of Ukraine, and is being raised in the children's and youth sports school named after Petro Korol.
The charity fund 'Ukrainian Strength' has been supporting the young athlete for several years. Thanks to this support, he has the opportunity to participate in international competitions and training camps, receive sports nutrition, and recover after competitions. During this Time, Ivan has become the European champion and the winner of the Ukrainian championships.

We understand that the sports achievements of youth are important for the future of the country,' said the head of the fund, Yaroslav Maiborada.
The 'Ukrainian Strength' fund was established in 2023 to support the defenders of the country. One of the priority areas of the fund's activity is the development of sports in Ukraine through the support of sports competitions and athletes.
