The medic Elia joined the 80th Galician Brigade at the age of 18, a day after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. She shared that she decided to join the Armed Forces, seeing the panic among people. Elia added that she did not want to sit idly by, so she decided to help as a medic. After joining the brigade, she evacuated the wounded to the stabilization point. During her years of service in the army, Elia became more disciplined and started to appreciate many things she did not value before. She also noted that she has good relationships with her family, especially with her mother.
Ukrainian blogger Nicholas Karma talked with wounded defender Mykola from Lviv region. During the conversation, Mykola spoke about the symbolic cost of his clothing, as well as his dream to participate in the Paralympic Games.
