Bloomberg: Ukraine plans to produce 2.5 million drones in 2025.

The role of Ukrainian drones in modern warfare
According to the British analytical center Royal United Services Institute, by the beginning of 2025, drones account for 60-70% of all damage and destruction of Russian equipment in the war. This is a revolutionary change in the nature of modern combat.
Bloomberg, in its exclusive analysis, reveals the scale of the Ukrainian drone program and its impact on the course of the war. Tens of thousands of relatively cheap and disposable machines are now flying over the front lines, detecting Russian positions, gathering intelligence information, and attacking enemy targets.
At the beginning of June, Ukrainian drones launched from trucks struck airfields as far away as Siberia, damaging part of the Russian fleet of long-range bombers capable of carrying nuclear weapons, according to Ukrainian officials. This demonstrates Ukraine's growing ability to carry the war deep into Russian territory.
In May, Russia reported the destruction of 485 Ukrainian drones over two days of an offensive that damaged several arms manufacturing plants and the only fiber optic cable plant in the country. The strikes, which delayed over 100 flights due to the temporary closure of airports around Moscow, continued throughout the day, whereas previous attacks usually occurred at night.
Ukraine produced at least 1 million drones last year and plans to produce 2.5 million in 2025, according to data from the country's strategic communications center. These are impressive figures that demonstrate the industrialization of drone manufacturing.
International sanctions have not stopped Russia from ramping up drone production - Putin has called for annual production of 1.4 million units by 2025, which is ten times the number Russia produced in 2023.
Ukrainian drones have become an integral part of modern warfare and a significant threat to Russian equipment. Their effectiveness and scale are impressive, and plans for the future indicate that Ukraine is ready to continue developing this modern weapon.
