Most of Ukraine's power units reduced output due to the morning attack by the Russian Federation.

According to the IAEA, of the 9 active nuclear power units in Ukraine, 5 reduced output due to new attacks on energy infrastructure.
In November, the IAEA reported that three nuclear power plants (Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, and Pivdennoukrainska) cut electricity production due to shelling. This is the second reduction in capacity at these plants.
The IAEA also reported that at an extraordinary meeting, the Board of Governors adopted a resolution condemning the Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure that supports the operation of nuclear power plants.
Russia continues to attack Ukraine's energy sector. As a result of the latest attack, the volume of energy consumption reduction measures has increased. In Ternopil region, 50% of consumers were disconnected. DTEK thermal power plants were also attacked. The Minister of Energy is trying to minimize the consequences of the attack.
It is recalled that in November, Russia carried out a massive shelling of Ukraine, leaving hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians without power.
